About Rachel Wang

Social Entrepreneur

Rachel is the co-director of Chocolate Films which she co-founded in 2001. Chocolate Films produces video content for a wide range of organisations in the UK and internationally. It is a leader in video content for films for museums, galleries and arts organisations. All Rachel’s business activities have a strong social remit. Chocolate Films is a social enterprise, supporting its sister company, Chocolate Films Workshops, to provide creative experiences and workshops for children and young people.

In early 2023, she opened Nine Elms Studio - a purpose-built photo and video studio in South London’s most exciting new development. Nine Elms Studio, likewise, supports children young people and young creatives.

Consultant & Curator

Rachel works in a consultancy capacity with many organisations. Her most recent role was as the Curator of The Relevant Museum - a programme for leading German, Austrian and Swiss museums. Rachel’s curatorship focused on Digital, Audience Engagement and Inclusion. Commissioned by NORDMETALL-Foundation and,the Foundation for Art, Culture and History (SKKG), Germany.

Speaker

Rachel is a regular speaker about a the future of museums and galleries, in relation to digital strategies, decolonising history, and diversity. She is also often invited to interview authors at literary festivals. She has recently spoken at:
